Sunshine Behind the Clouds

When you face the sun, the shadows always fall behind you. –Helen Keller

If words were sunshine, I’d bask in its light daily. Words can make us glow with joy or cry tears of sadness and frustration. Words affect others and bring forth light or darkness, too. What do you choose? I hope you choose sunshine over darkness, and you realize you have a choice, even on dark days.

Friends light our cloudy days and remind us of the sunny ones. A good friend knows who you are. They’re the earthly support systems and nonjudgmental confidants. Good friends won’t rain on your parade, but will bring an umbrella to share with you.

To my friends, thank you for sharing your umbrella with me.
