Did you know that fossilized roses could be traced back 30 million years ago? Rosa gallica, which is also called the French rose, has been identified as the oldest rose that exists even to this day. Roses are regarded to be a symbol of love by the Persians.
It’s no surprise that the scent of roses is often linked to a loving visit from the angels. During one of my channeling sessions, they revealed that whenever a soul awakens on Earth, a rose blossoms in heaven. In my dream visits to heaven, I’ve seen magnificent, vibrant roses filling the fields with their rich fragrance. My grandfather used to grow large, beautiful roses—he called them cabbage roses—and their scent was truly divine. That fragrance always takes me back to my childhood visits with my grandparents. The scent of roses serves as a gentle reminder of our soul’s true home.
Benedictine Monks were responsible for keeping roses thriving during the tumultuous post Roman Empire years throughout Europe with the continuous onslaught of invading Barbarian forces of the Visogoths, Huns, Vandals and others.
The rose has been used by the Cathars, Egyptians, and Essenes.
Roses have the highest frequency (vibration) of any oil. Its use is protective and uplifting. It's no surprise, rose bushes surrounded castles and religious places.
The Rose and the Grail share many spiritual resonances. The word ‘chalice’ comes from the Latin word, calyx, which means cup, and is the name given to the cup-like sepals of a flower, which support the petals. Both these symbols suggest the receptive vessel of the soul, opening to receive the in-pouring of Divine influence and also represents the Virgin Mother.
The blue rose, in particular, is a sign of the Virgin mother. Saint Therese, God's little flower, is a saint who sends roses to faithful people in answer to prayer requests. Read more in my book, Divine Messengers.
Next time you happen upon a rosebush, stop and smell the roses.
